We are currently looking for a Class 2 (18T) Delivery Driver to work in our well established, market leading, sameday courier business.You’ll be in the driving seat of a varied position where no two days are the same. Driving our 18T and 7.5t curtainside vehicles, you will work independently, but also be safe in the knowledge that everything you do is supported by your “ACE” colleagues.Becoming one of our drivers is more than just travelling from A to B. You’ll play a crucial role in enabling us to deliver a cost effective, timely and efficient service to our customers. Our drivers and customers are at the heart of everything we do.Yes, you will drive long distances (usually 250/400 miles per day) but you won’t do multi drop. We employ a diverse range of individuals, so there’s an opportunity for you to meet and work with some great people.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Be the face of “ACE” driving to customers on a nationwide basis
- Arrive at our Castle Donington depot and collect your allocated vehicle for the day
- Drive to your collection and delivery destination's
- Liaise with our friendly office based operations team, who will help ensure your collections and deliveries are performed as easily and swiftly as possible
- Carry out vehicle checks at the start and end of your shift
- Help us maintain our vehicles by making sure they are kept clean and tidy inside and out
- No nights out
Ideal Candidate:
- You will live in the Derby/Nottingham/Loughborough area and have your own transport
- Enjoy driving and preferably hold dedicated delivery driving experience
- You will be a confident and courteous driver, not fazed by long distance driving
- Enthusiastic, flexible and friendly with the willingness to go that extra mile
- Be able to present a current driving licence (Class 2) with no more than 6 penalty points
- Be the holder of both valid Tacho and Driver CPC cards
Working hours:Monday to Friday- start times generally from 03:00 to 09:00, finishing late afternoon or early evening.Actual start times may vary on a daily basis according to customer demand and there is no requirement for any weekend work.To find out more about becoming one of our “ACE” drivers, please provide us with an "up to date" CV detailing all of your employment history.
