A lovely family based in Whitefield are searching for an experienced, caring and organised nanny to join their household as their much-loved nanny prepares to leave after an incredible 5 years with the family.
This is a truly special opportunity for a nanny looking for a long-term role where they can become a genuine part of family life. The family are incredibly warm, welcoming and down to earth, and they are hoping to find someone who will build the same close and trusted bond their current nanny has enjoyed over the years.
Life in this household is busy, active and full of energy, so they are looking for someone proactive, flexible and naturally nurturing who enjoys being involved in all aspects of family life.
The role will primarily centre around the two younger boys, whilst also helping support the smooth running of the household overall.
One of the lovely aspects of this role is that during the school week there is a daytime break whilst the younger children are at school, allowing the nanny some downtime during the middle of the day before the busy after-school period begins again. During weekends and school holidays, full-day cover would usually be required.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on nanny role where no two days look exactly the same.
The nanny will support the family with both childcare and helping keep the household running smoothly, working closely alongside Mum to help manage the busy schedules, activities and routines of the younger children.
Duties will include:
- Supporting with breakfast and morning routines
- Helping the children get dressed and ready for school
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Supporting with homework, reading and school projects
- Organising fun activities, games and crafts
- Taking the children to football, swimming and activities
- Helping with bath and bedtime routines
- Cooking family style meals and children’s dinners
- Children’s laundry and ironing
- Tidying bedrooms and play areas
- General child related housekeeping
- Running errands and helping with shopping
- Helping coordinate busy after-school schedules
- Occasional babysitting
- Occasional overnight stays whilst parents travel
- Travelling with the family a few times each year
The family also employ a cleaner, and adult ironing is outsourced.
