Role Overview
Reporting to: Shift Supervisor
Based in the warehouse, the Picker & Packer role is responsible for picking and packing orders both accurately and in a timely manner whilst adhering to health and safety expectations. The role involves ensuring products are correctly selected, packed, and prepared for shipping to the customer.
Shift Patterns
We operate with four teams of Picker / Packers, two dayshift teams and two twilight teams. The day shift starts at 06:30am till 18:30pm with twilight starting at 10:30am till 22:30pm. You will be expected to work 4 days on shift with 4 days off on a rolling basis.
Role and Responsibilities
- Following of all safety guidelines and procedures
- Working to 5’S’ principles
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Locating orders from our electronics system and select products for shipping
- Checking product quality before packing
- Ensure accurate picking of products
- Packing of orders securely to prevent damage during transit
- Label packages with appropriate shipping labels correctly
- Shipping products via correct carrier
- Working as a team
- Identifying any problem orders and tagging as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Adherence to quality standards and
- Delivery of strong customer focus
- Improvement based approach to tasks performed
