We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Parkstone Connect as a Casual Support Assistant.
Parkstone Connect is a purpose-built day service, providing leisure and learning opportunities, through individual and groups meaningful activities. The activities promote choice, independence aim to enable individuals to develop their skills and engage in meaningful activities such as, Pottery, Yoga, Art, Music, Gardening, Exercise, Woodcraft, Reminiscence and Sensory based activities.
Our Day Opportunities Services offer practical and therapeutic support for adults with a range of needs and abilities, to enable individuals to:
- Participate in a range of meaningful and outcome focused activities.
- Develop and practice their skills.
- Get access to a variety of health and care services.
- Receive supervised nutrition and support.
- To live active and fulfilled lives in their local community.
As a Casual Support Assistant you will be working with our clients to focus on their strengths, choices, assets, and goals through person centred planning and reviews. You will be supporting new transition clients on a 1:1 basis including aspects of personal care, moving and assisting, and enabling clients to take part in new activities and opportunities, which can help develop confidence, independence and enable individuals to reach their full potential.
We are seeking candidates who have a genuine wish to make people’s lives better by actively supporting our clients and who are committed to sharing our vision of ‘improving lives and building independence’.
You should be a strong team player with a positive attitude and a flexible approach. Competent IT skills are desirable with the ability to keep accurate records.
