Learning Disability Registered Service Manager

We are looking for an experienced Learning Disability Registered Service Manager to lead high-quality support services for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and complex needs.

About the role
As our Learning Disability Registered Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading person-centred services that promote inclusion, independence, empowerment, and positive outcomes for the people we support.
You will work closely with staff teams, external agencies, community partners, advocacy groups, and families to ensure individuals receive joined-up, high-quality support. You will also play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, developing staff capability, and driving continuous improvement across the service.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage learning disability services in line with CQC requirements and best practice.
- Deliver personalised support that enables people to access activities, education, employment, and community life.
- Build strong partnerships with external agencies, community resources, and advocacy organisations.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, empowerment, dignity, and respect.
- Support, mentor, supervise, and develop staff to deliver excellent care.
- Lead by example, demonstrating compassion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Make effective decisions under pressure and respond promptly to operational challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement in service quality, outcomes, and team performance.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least 5 years’ experience managing learning disability services.
- Experience as a Registered Manager with CQC, or equivalent regulatory experience.
- Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and sector challenges.
- A transparent, values-led leadership style.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
- The ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Good IT skills and confidence using systems and technology.
- A PBS qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- A reflective and adaptable approach, with awareness of personal and professional limitations.
