About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our residential home team. You will provide high-quality care and support to young adults, assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. This is a rewarding role for anyone looking to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.
This position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
What You’ll Do
- Support clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist with medication following prescribed guidelines
- Help with daily activities, mealtimes, and personal hygiene
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Apply positive behaviour management strategies
- Encourage independence through daily living support
- Accompany clients to appointments and social activities
- Keep accurate care records and monitor client wellbeing
- Respond to emergencies using first aid when needed
- Help maintain a safe and tidy home environment
- Work in line with CQC standards, legislation, and company policies
Qualifications
- Previous experience is highly desirable but not required
- PMVA or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Emergency First Aid at Work (preferred but not essential)
- Tier 2 Oliver McGowan (preferred but not essential)
- Level 1+ in Health and Social Care, or similar (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and an empathetic nature
