Our client, a well-established and respected financial planning firm, is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing team in Edinburgh.
Working closely with Financial Planners, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, client-focused financial planning advice. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner looking to further develop their expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment that offers ongoing professional development and study support.

CII Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) is essential.

Chartered Financial Planner status is desirable.

Minimum of 3 years' paraplanning experience within a financial planning or wealth management environment.

Strong technical knowledge of UK taxation, including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Inheritance Tax.

Comprehensive understanding of pension planning and estate planning.

Experience using financial planning tools, templates, and research resources.

Ability to manage workloads effectively while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Prepare high-quality suitability reports and technical recommendations for clients.

Produce cashflow forecasts to support clients' long-term financial objectives.

Conduct technical research and analysis to support the delivery of financial planning advice.

Assist with annual reviews and ongoing client servicing activities.

Attend client meetings, prepare meeting notes, and support Financial Planners with follow-up actions.

Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure an efficient and professional client experience.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, templates, and best practices.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial planning legislation, industry developments, and regulatory requirements.

Manage your workload effectively to ensure deadlines and service standards are consistently met.
