Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to support and oversee a team of Support Workers in delivering high-quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years’ experience providing support to 16 and 17 year olds in a supported living setting, good leadership abilities, excellent communication skills and hands-on experience within supported living or care environments.
Duties
- Supervise and support Support Workers in their daily duties
- Ensure residents receive person-centred care that promotes independence and wellbeing
- Administer and oversee medication management following company and regulatory protocols
- Complete and review care plans, risk assessments and daily records
- Liaise effectively with management, professionals and families
- Manage and respond appropriately to incidents and challenging behaviours
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home and maintain high care standards
Experience
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader, or a Support Worker who is willing and capable of stepping into a Team Leader role.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management and care documentation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
