Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and detail-focused Part-Time Housekeeper to support the upkeep and smooth day-to-day maintenance of a private residence. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and presented to a high standard, while respecting the privacy and routines of the household.
This role would suit a proactive individual who takes pride in their work, is trustworthy, discreet, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
General Housekeeping:
- Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the residence including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, hallways, and utility rooms
- Dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Ensuring the home is consistently tidy, fresh, and well presented
- Carrying out periodic deep cleaning tasks as required
- Bed making and changing linens
Laundry & Ironing:
- Washing, drying, ironing, steaming, and folding household laundry
- Care of delicate garments, bedding, towels, and fine fabrics
- Organising wardrobes and linen cupboards
- Managing dry cleaning when required
Household Organisation
- Keeping kitchen, pantry, utility, and storage areas organised
- Monitoring and restocking household essentials, cleaning products, and toiletries
- Managing household waste and recycling
Additional Support:
- Preparing the home for guests or family visits
- Reporting any maintenance issues, breakages, or supply shortages
- Running occasional household errands if required
- Assisting with simple household tasks to support the smooth running of the residence

- Respecting the privacy of the household at all times
- Maintaining discretion and confidentiality
- Working with care, professionalism, and attention to detail
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Previous housekeeping experience within a private household, serviced apartment, hotel, or similar environment
- Excellent cleaning and laundry skills
- High standards of organisation and presentation
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Positive, professional, and discreet mannered
Desirable:
- Experience working in a family home
- Good ironing and wardrobe management skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to provide additional hours when needed
Working Hours:
Part-time hours to be agreed, approximately ( 5-10 hours per week over).
Some flexibility may be required depending on household needs.
Salary:
Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience.
