Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with menu selections.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using basic maths skills for billing purposes.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
- Provide information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to enhance the dining experience.
- Upsell menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring all concerns are addressed promptly.
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables as well as restocking supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn about menu items is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
