We're looking for an experienced and proactive Compliance, Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor to lead our maintenance operation and help preserve one of Yorkshire's most unique heritage hotel estates.
This newly created role combines statutory compliance, maintenance leadership, hands-on repairs and grounds management, ensuring our hotel, estate and gardens are maintained to the highest possible standards.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day maintenance operation, lead a small maintenance team and take ownership of the hotel's compliance systems, planned preventative maintenance programme and contractor management.
Alongside practical maintenance duties, you'll play a key role in maintaining our beautiful grounds and ensuring the estate is always presented at its very best for our guests, weddings and events.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing statutory compliance using Risk Proof.
- Coordinating Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Supervising Maintenance Operatives and contractors.
- Delivering planned and reactive maintenance.
- Supporting refurbishment and improvement projects.
- Maintaining the hotel's extensive grounds and estate.
- Driving high standards of safety, compliance and presentation.
We're Looking For Someone With
Essential
- Previous hotel or hospitality maintenance experience.
- Experience managing statutory compliance and Fire Life Safety.
- Proven experience using Risk Proof or a similar compliance management system.
- Strong organisational and contractor management skills.
- Practical multi-skilled maintenance experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience working within Grade II Listed or heritage properties.
- Grounds or estate maintenance experience.
- Legionella, Fire Safety or Health & Safety qualifications.
- Experience leading or supervising a maintenance team.
