Our client in Thirsk is seeking a dedicated Specialist Vehicle Technician to join their expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex repairs, diagnostics, and advanced vehicle modifications in a reputable independent garage.

- Basic salary up to approximately £38,000, subject to experience
- No weekend work – Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with an hour for lunch

Duties:
- Perform repairs and servicing as required for a range of vehicles
- Undertake major engine repairs, electrical system work, and diagnostics
- Conduct detailed diagnostic checks using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Inspect vehicles for wear, faults, and general safety issues
- Carry out complex tasks such as retrofitting, engine tuning, and modifications for motorsport applications
- Handle repairs that involve specialised skills in racing, engineering, and high-performance vehicle work
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Level 3 vehicle maintenance and repair qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician in a garage, main dealer, or specialist workshop
- Strong technical knowledge across all vehicle systems
- Full UK driving licence and own set of essential tools
- Experience in retrofitting, engine tuning, or racing work is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
- Ability to undertake complex repairs with minimal supervision
