Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our team, responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining various structures and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building techniques and experience with a variety of tools and materials. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
- Construct and assemble building frameworks using masonry.timber or other materials.
- Perform roofing tasks, including installation and repairs.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks.
- Conduct masonry work, including bricklaying and stone setting.
- Assist with plastering and rendering tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and to specification.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools relevant to construction.
- Experience in roofing, stone work, carpentry, masonry, plastering, and plumbing is highly desirable.
- Ability to read plans and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and clients.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods.
