Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all dishes are cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts
- Assist with meal preparation during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain efficient workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles, preferably within a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience in serving or restaurant operations is advantageous but not essential
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
