Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive and develop essential skills. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in the growth and development of young minds, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting learning through play.
Duties
- Manage daily activities within the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children.
- Lead and support children in various educational activities, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences that cater to the individual needs of each child.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, providing regular updates to parents.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices in childcare.
- Must be willing to work between the hours of 7.30am and 6.15pm.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential.
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for childcare and early years education, with the ability to inspire young learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with best practices in early years education.
