Pipework & Pump Engineer (Private Water)
We are an established, family-run specialist in private water systems, trusted by domestic, commercial, and agricultural clients across Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset. Our reputation is built on technical competence, reliability, and doing the job properly the first time.
Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a Pipework & Pump Engineer to join our team- someone confident working independently, happy within a team, and proud to deliver high‑quality workmanship
The Role:
- Installation of all internal and external pipework types
- Groundworks and installation support
- Pump installations, servicing, maintenance and fault‑finding
- Tank installations and heavy lifting operations
- Practical diagnostics across private water systems
- Acid and Tank cleaning
- Servicing of Domestic & Commercial systems to include preventative maintenance
Essential:
- Proven experience with private water systems or a strong background in plumbing, electrics, mechanical, or pump engineering
- Confident fault-finding and practical diagnostic skills
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Professional, customer-focused attitude
- A sociable team player who enjoys building strong working relationships
- Full clean driving licence
- Required to attend the office each morning at 8am.
- Due to the physical nature of this role, candidates must be comfortable with manual work, including lifting, digging, working outdoors in all weather, and carrying out tasks that require sustained physical activity.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Electrical or mechanical qualifications
- Agricultural or commercial site experience
