Position: Assistant Accountant
We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant who thrives on detail, takes ownership, and plays a key part in keeping our finances sharp and reliable.
What you’ll be doing:
Bank Reconciliations
- Keep our records spotless by carrying out daily reconciliations and reporting.
- Spot and resolve discrepancies quickly.
- Work closely with the finance team to keep everything accurate and up to date.
Purchase Ledger
- Process supplier invoices with accuracy and speed.
- Record and match invoices to purchase orders.
- Build positive supplier relationships by resolving queries quickly.
Credit Control
- Stay on top of customer accounts to make sure payments come in on time.
- Follow up on overdue invoices with clear, professional communication.
- Team up with sales to resolve any payment disputes.
Financial Reporting
- Support the preparation of management accounts and cash flow reports.
- Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting.
- Assist with Month End reconciliations and reporting.
General Finance Support
- Keep the day-to-day finance engine running smoothly through data entry, filing, and admin.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Work with other departments to make sure financial data is accurate and processes are seamless.
What we’re looking for

- Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise.
- Confidence in using finance systems and Excel.
- A team player who isn’t afraid to take initiative.
- Experience in a similar role would be ideal, but the right attitude and a willingness to learn matter most.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
