Cotswold Manor Estate is a collection of three large, high-end holiday homes hosting group stays including celebrations, family gatherings and hen parties.
We are looking for someone organised, proactive and operationally minded to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the estate and ensure the properties are consistently prepared, maintained and presented to a high standard for every stay.
The role centres around ensuring the houses are guest-ready at all times — from presentation and maintenance, through to compliance, systems and overall operational standards.
This is a role for someone who likes autonomy, takes ownership and enjoys keeping things organised and running smoothly.
The Role
Predominantly weekday based with flexibility around operational requirements.
Typical structure:
- Daily oversight of guest communications, bookings and operational matters
- Weekly on-site presence across the estate
- 2 weekends per month remote on-call responsibility (shared support structure in place)
- Typical workload averages around 25 hours per week, worked flexibly across the week rather than fixed days
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all three properties are consistently prepared and presented to a high standard for every guest arrival
- Managing guest communication before and during stays
- Coordinating housekeeping, linen and maintenance services
- Managing and prioritising maintenance requirements
- Carrying out regular property inspections and identifying areas requiring attention
- Ensuring property infrastructure, presentation and operational standards are maintained
- Overseeing compliance requirements, health & safety records and operational documentation to ensure these remain accurate and up to date
- Managing operational consumables and stock requirements
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors
- Maintaining organised operational systems, checklists and processes
- Supporting the directors with general operational coordination where required
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems and efficiency across the estate
What we're looking for
- Practical, organised and proactive
- Comfortable making decisions independently
- Strong communication and people skills
- Decisive and dependable when dealing with operational matters
- Comfortable taking ownership without needing constant direction
- Strong attention to detail
- IT literate and comfortable using a range of apps, software systems and operational tools
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
Regular site visits are required, so being able to travel easily to the estate (GL9 1AF) is essential. Due to the flexible and responsive nature of the role, applicants living reasonably close to the estate are likely to be better suited.
Support Structure
An existing maintenance and operational team is already in place, which you’ll coordinate as part of the role.
Package
- £1,750 per month retained fee
- Flexible working structure
- High level of autonomy
- Long-term opportunity with room to grow
- Hybrid working
Application
Applications must include a short covering note outlining:
- Why the role appeals to you and why it suits how you like to work
- Relevant experience, transferable skills or anything additional you feel would help within the role
- Your current situation and availability
CVs are required; however, applications without a covering note will not be considered. We place significant value on ownership, approach and how candidates think and operate, alongside formal experience.
Interview Process
- Initial phone conversation
- Face-to-face meeting at the properties
Before applying please confirm:
- You have reviewed our websites and understand the type of business we operate
- You hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport
- You are comfortable with a flexible structure where approximately 25 hours are worked across the week rather than fixed days
