We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic tandoori dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety regulations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as necessary
- Ensure all food production meets quality standards and is presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for ingredients, and manage inventory effectively
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Assist in menu development by introducing new dishes and refining existing recipes
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Extensive culinary experience specialising in tandoori cuisine or Indian cooking techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Experience in food production, restaurant service, and serving customers is highly desirable
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
