OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to carry out TIG welding and associated fabrication activities to support the manufacture of MRI components, ensuring all work is completed in strict accordance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
KEY TASKS
· Perform TIG welding operations in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), engineering drawings, and applicable welding codes.
· Obtain, maintain, and comply with all required welding qualifications and certifications relevant to the role.
· Complete associated fabrication tasks efficiently, including forming, rolling, grinding, operating overhead cranes, measuring components, and working to strict dimensional tolerances.
· Ensure full compliance with health, safety, quality, and efficiency standards during all welding and fabrication activities.
· Accurately complete all required production and quality documentation to a high standard, ensuring traceability and compliance with engineering and welding code requirements.
· Interpret technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and procedures, to ensure work is completed correctly and consistently.
· Collaborate effectively with support functions and other departments to support production requirements and resolve issues as they arise.
· Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by learning and applying new processes, techniques, and products, with the primary responsibility being that of an MRI End Technician.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, process efficiency, and overall operational performance.
· Maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency, and efficiency when working in a repetitive, process-driven manufacturing environment.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
The following are essential for this role:
· Proven experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
· Demonstrable experience in TIG welding, ideally within a regulated or high-precision industry.
· Experience carrying out associated fabrication activities, including forming, grinding, operating overhead cranes, and working to strict dimensional tolerances.
· Ability to read, interpret, and work accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
· Competence in the use of measuring equipment to verify dimensions and ensure compliance with specified tolerances.
