Internal Sales Executive
Halifax | £30,000 – £36,000 + Bonus
Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm
We are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive to join a well-established and highly respected international metals business at their Halifax branch.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in metals, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial B2B sales who enjoys building relationships, developing accounts, and spotting commercial opportunities.
The company operates globally and supplies high-performance metal products and technical materials into a wide range of demanding industries including aerospace, defence, energy, medical, engineering, and manufacturing. They are known for quality, technical expertise, and long-standing customer relationships.
The Role
This is a commercially focused sales position involving a mix of account management, incoming enquiries, and proactive business development.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to grow accounts and win new business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of customer accounts
- Building long-term relationships with customers across engineering and manufacturing sectors
- Responding to enquiries and quotations
- Proactively generating new business opportunities
- Conducting outbound sales activity and targeted prospecting
- Working closely with suppliers and sourcing stock where required
- Providing market feedback and identifying trends/opportunities
- Developing a strong understanding of technical products and customer requirements
What We’re Looking For
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Previous B2B sales experience
- Experience within metals, manufacturing, engineering, industrial distribution, or technical products would be highly advantageous
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and commercially minded attitude
- Experience managing customer accounts and developing business opportunities
- Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and via email
- A motivated and driven approach to sales
Candidates from metal stockholding, industrial distribution, engineering products, or technical manufacturing environments are particularly encouraged to apply, although applicants with strong B2B sales experience from other sectors will also be considered.
