Experience of working with early years children is essential and preferably level three early years qualification. We are looking for a member of staff who works well as part of a team and is clear about how to support and develop babies and young children’s wellbeing and progress under the guidance of the Day Care manager. The right candidate will have the ability to form positive relationships with babies and young children quickly and working together effectively with families. They will also be excited at the prospect of being involved in the development of this recently opened provision within our thriving well-established nursery school.
Safeguarding is a very important aspect of Plym Bridge Nursery School & Day Care. All applicants will be expected to have a fully enhanced DBS check and disclose any issues which may be relevant to them working in a nursery.

Our school is committed to safeguarding our pupils and we ensure that all staff within the organisation complete a full DBS and complete vetting and barring procedures.
We are a maintained nursery school which caters for children from birth to five years, comprising of a day care provision for 0 to 3s and
a nursery school provision (3 - 4 year olds). We specialise in developing staff who are highly skilled in managing children with a wide range of special needs as well as mainstream children. We are fortunate to have extensive grounds, providing a wealth of opportunities for outdoor learning experiences.
We are part of the IDEAL Alliance which includes an additional nursery school, a primary school and a PVI nursery. We also run the Early Years Southwest Stronger Practice Hub for the southwest region.
We work closely with Plymouth Local Authority and manage the advisory early years service, Communication and Language Support Team, for the city through a service level agreement.
