Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow during service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Support staff in serving customers when necessary, ensuring excellent hospitality service.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and meet quality standards before presentation or serving.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
- Extensive experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure during busy service times.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff.
