About the Role
As an ICT Apprentice, you’ll support day-to-day IT operations, helping ensure systems run smoothly and users receive the support they need.
This is a practical, entry-level role where you’ll gain experience across hardware, software, and network support in a real business environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-line support to users both in person and remotely
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
- Respond to support requests and ensure timely resolution
Systems & Equipment
- Help install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Support the setup of new users and devices
- Assist with routine system checks and updates
Network & Infrastructure Support
- Assist with basic network maintenance tasks
- Help monitor system performance and identify issues
- Support the wider IT team with infrastructure-related tasks
Administration & Documentation
- Log and update support tickets accurately
- Help maintain IT documentation and procedures
- Ensure records and systems are kept organised
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic about IT and technology
- A good problem-solver with strong attention to detail
- A clear communicator, both written and verbal
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, or troubleshooting
- Any previous IT-related study or experience
- Full UK driving licence (preferred due to occasional travel)
