An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Fostering Senior Social Worker within Shropshire Council's Children's Placement Service, based in Shrewsbury. The role provides the opportunity to work with Foster Carers and colleagues across Children's Service. You will support the shared vision for children to receive the best care and for Shropshire Councils Fostering Families to be provided the best support.
Within this role the successful candidate will primarily have a caseload of mainstream foster carers. You will lead on the support and development of the fostering Mockingbird constellations in Shropshire. Mockingbird creates a small community of 6 - 10 fostering households, called a constellation. At the centre is a hub home carer - an experienced foster carer who offers practical help, emotional support and a familiar, welcoming space for children and carers. We aim to continue building a supportive community for all our foster carers.
