Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher to join our educational team from September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering tailored learning programmes to children with diverse needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Duties
- Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that accommodate individual learning styles and needs.
- Deliver engaging lessons across various subjects, including speech therapy, maths, physical education, and early childhood education.
- Utilise specialised techniques such as applied behaviour analysis and behaviour management strategies to support children with behavioural challenges.
- Provide one-to-one tutoring and mentoring to enhance student progress.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, childcare professionals, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support for pupils.
- Monitor and record student progress, adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assist with Toddler care and preschool activities as required.
- Proofread educational materials and resources to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Support children’s social development through mentoring programmes and inclusive activities.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood or special education settings.
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, applied behaviour analysis, and behaviour management strategies.
- Experience in teaching physical education, tutoring, or childcare is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
- Prior experience in proofreading educational content or developing customised learning materials is advantageous. This role is ideal for passionate educators committed to supporting children with special educational needs through innovative teaching methods and compassionate care.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
