We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our Care Home Berkeley Gardens in Pemberton, Wigan.
We require a friendly reliable person to join an established team working in a caring environment. Must be able to cook and bake from fresh ingredients and understand food hygiene rules and regulations.
Duties to include:
- Preparing nutritious and appropriate meals for the residents, paying particular attention to any special dietary requirements of individual residents.
- All aspects of food handling, ensuring preparation and presentation to residents are properly monitored in order to ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations.
- Making food orders to suppliers and managing stock.
- Ensure all equipment provided in the kitchen is used correctly and in accordance with operating instructions and abiding by food hygiene standards.
- To dispose of waste correctly.
- Maintaining a high level of kitchen cleanliness and other responsible duties as may be required.
- To have a professional, caring and efficient service to residents at all times.
It is essential to have a minimum of 12 months experience.
Approx. 42 hours per week to include alternate weekends.
