We offer comprehensive commercial and industrial fuel storage solutions – from supply to tank maintenance, offering UK wide coverage: supply, installations and maintenance of complete fuel storage solutions.

The Role: Fuel Systems Engineer
You'll be out on customer sites carrying out installation, servicing, fault-finding and repair across fuel storage and dispensing equipment. The work is varied and hands-on, no two sites are the same, and you'll be trusted to manage your own jobs and represent FSS in front of clients.
What you'll be doing
- Installing, commissioning, servicing and repairing fuel storage tanks, pipework, pumps, dispensers and gauging systems
- Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive call-outs to customer sites
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to a high standard, first time wherever possible
- Working safely within hazardous area environments and following DSEAR controls, permits to work and confined space procedures
- Completing accurate job paperwork, test records and handover documentation
- Liaising directly with clients on site and keeping the office updated on job progress
What we're looking for
- Hands-on engineering experience in fuel systems, petroleum, oil storage, pipefitting, mechanical or a closely related field
- A strong safety mindset and the discipline to work to procedure in higher-risk environments
- The ability to work independently, manage your own workload and solve problems on site
- A full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills and a professional approach with customers
To be successful in your application for an FSS Engineer, the key skills and experience you will have are:
- Interest/experience in mechanical engineering.
- Familiarity with pipework installations and repair (or transferable experience).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work on your own initiative.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbally.
- Willingness to learn.
- Time management: prioritise own workload, work to deadlines and be able to work under pressure.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
- Capability of obtaining (or already have) high level security clearances to be eligible to work within the sectors FSS support.
