Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar & Restaurant person, to join our relaxed welcoming family-run pub with a relaxed atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly environment, providing exceptional guest service while contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, enjoy working in a team, and possess a positive attitude. Previous experience in restaurant or bar settings is preferred but not essential. This position is suitable for individuals aged 21 and over who thrive in busy, customer-focused environments.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests
- Take orders accurately and process payments using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Provide excellent guest services, addressing customer needs promptly and professionally.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales
- Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
