We are currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester for our client, a well-established family-run independent service centre based in Wallingford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MOT Tester looking to develop their career within a reputable workshop that has been serving the local community since 1983. Benefits:
- Salary between £30,000 and £45,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
- Performance-related bonus paid monthly, approximately £5,000 annually
- 30 days' annual leave, including bank holidays

- Working hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with two 30-minute breaks

Duties:
- Conduct MOT tests on customer vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards as an MOT Tester
- Diagnose vehicle issues and perform related servicing and repair work
- Support workshop activities to ensure smooth operations
- Liaise effectively with team members to facilitate an efficient workflow
- Maintain high standards of customer service during the testing process
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and workshop procedures
Requirements:
- Valid and current Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licences for the MOT Tester role
- UK driving licence with minimal points
- Ideally, IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
- Alternatively, extensive hands-on experience in vehicle mechanics with an active MOT licence
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
