Overview
Bayside Radio is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project Lead (Community) to help grow our community impact across Colwyn Bay and the surrounding area. This is a re-advertisement and a jobs share/skills share will be considered.
This role will lead community engagement activities, develop partnerships, and create opportunities for local people and organisations to connect with Bayside Radio through on-air, digital and face-to-face projects. The successful candidate will help deliver initiatives with a range of partners while supporting the long-term sustainability of our community work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with community groups, charities, businesses and public sector organisations through on-air initiatives.
- Coordinate projects, events and engagement activities.
- Develop ideas and content that educate, inform and entertain audiences across radio, digital and social media platforms.
- Represent Bayside Radio within the community and grow the station’s profile.
- Identify and secure partnership, sponsorship and advertising opportunities that support community-led content.
- Support funding, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Gather feedback and help shape future projects.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience in community engagement, outreach or partnership development.
- Strong background in radio, media, broadcasting, journalism or content production.
- Understanding of community media and its role in supporting local communities.
- Excellent communication, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop creative ideas and turn them into engaging on-air content.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience of managing sponsorship, fundraising or grant-funded projects.
Desirable
- Experience working in the voluntary or charity sector.
- Welsh language skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 48 weeks
Pay: £16.00 per hour
