Formosa Izakaya is Hiring – Full-Time Kitchen Assistant / Wok Chef
Located in Birmingham City Centre, Formosa Izakaya is looking for reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants and Wok Chefs to join our team.
⭐ Main Position
Full-Time Kitchen Assistant / Wok Chef (Priority Recruitment)
We are looking for applicants who:
- Are reliable and punctual.
- Have a positive attitude and are willing to learn.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Can remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
- Are available for full-time work and flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Have experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment (preferred).
- Have experience with food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Experience with wok cooking, stir-fry dishes, fried rice, noodles or Asian cuisine is an advantage, but suitable candidates willing to learn will also be considered.
- Are looking for a long-term opportunity and willing to grow with the team.
⭐ Preferred:
- Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese.
- Ability to read and write Chinese.
- Hold a UK driving licence.
- Experience with Taiwanese, Chinese, Asian or Japanese cuisine.
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with wok cooking or Asian kitchen operations.
