This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Freight company who are seeking an Customs Agent to join their team on a permanent basis
About you…
- +2 years’ experience working within a similar role
- Experience of dealing with world wide freight
Duties…
- Organise and arrange deliveries as per customer requirements.
- Process and check invoices.
- Monitor uncleared entries daily.
- File and archive job files once completed.
- Monitor deferment account.
- Prepare quotations for new accounts involving customs clearance
- Complete Customs entries on internal systems and submit to HMRC
- Raise customer files, collecting and completing all documentation
- Secure payment cleared funds for duty/vat invoices
- Negotiate and agree haulage and delivery prices with suppliers.
- Liaise and cooperate with Government Depts on queries.
- Respond to and dealing with customer communication on all relevant platforms.
- Maintain customer relationships and ensuring the highest quality of customer service experience.
