Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional Maintenance/Decorator person to join our Care Home Maintenance Team, located in SW8 1QH. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess general decoration and maintenance knowledge and will have strong decorator skills, along with the ability to repair and troubleshoot various systems. A commitment to customer service and leadership skills will be key in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the interior decoration of the home as the main responsibility.
- Perform maintenance tasks occasionally on equipment and facilities, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Requirements
- Proven decoration experience (surface preparation, painting and finishing techniques, material knowledge, basic measuring and estimating, health and safety awareness).
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with residents and staff.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for clear communication.
- 2 years of experience in a similar role is mandatory.
- Should demonstrate the ability to work independently or collaborate within a small team
- Work pattern Monday to Friday and occasional weekends if required 08:00-16:00)
- Rate of pay £16.81 per hour
- Enhanced DBS check is mandatory
- Clean B driving licence required-
- D1 driving licence preferred but not essential
