Are you a Psychology graduate looking to develop meaningful experience supporting young people in education?
A number of schools in Hinckley are seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to work with students who require additional academic, behavioural, and emotional support.
This varied role is ideal for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, teaching, counselling, or youth support. The school has an excellent track record of graduates progressing into teacher training and related professions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting students with additional learning and behavioural needs
- Building positive relationships to improve confidence and engagement
- Delivering targeted interventions and small-group support
- Assisting students with emotional regulation and classroom participation
- Supporting teachers and pastoral staff across the school
- Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- A degree (or predicted degree) in Psychology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, resilience, and emotional intelligence
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous
