Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Lead Practitioner at Level 3 or above to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading and supporting early childhood education within our nursery setting. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Key holder to open/close the building
- Support and mentor junior staff and practitioners, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external professionals regarding children's progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery’s curriculum and quality standards.
- Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, risk assessments, and reporting as required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of childcare provision.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a childcare or early childhood education setting.
- Extensive experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Knowledge of child development theories, early years frameworks, and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travel between multiple nursery locations or community engagement activities. Pay: From £27,476.80 per year
