Our Client Moores Concrete, a leading precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena are seeking welders to join their team.
As a Welder, you will play an important role within the production team, carrying out welding duties and supporting general manufacturing activities to ensure products are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Pay rate : £14.91 per hour
Hours Per Week: Varies between 32–48 hours per week, depending on business requirements.
Standard working hours are:
• Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm, or
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
Applicants must be flexible to work overtime and Saturdays when required.
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent from day 1
Job Duties:
• Carrying out welding duties using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
• Performing routine preventative maintenance on welding equipment and machinery.
• Completing corrective maintenance and minor repairs as required.
• Supporting production activities when required.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Working effectively as part of a busy production team.
Essential Criteria
• Previous experience in a similar welding or production role.
• Basic welding experience.
• Experience within a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Good understanding of written and spoken English.
Desirable Criteria
• MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read technical or construction drawings and bar schedules.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence and/or Overhead Crane Licence.
• CSR Card, First Aid or Fire Warden training.
