About the Role:
A well-established financial planning practice in St Albans is seeking an experienced Paraplanning Manager to join its professional team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior paraplanner or existing paraplanning manager looking to step into a leadership role within a high-quality financial planning environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the paraplanning function, supporting advisers with complex technical work, and helping drive efficiency, quality, and consistency across the team.
Your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing and overseeing the day-to-day paraplanning function
- Supporting, mentoring, and developing paraplanners within the team
- Reviewing technical suitability reports and financial planning recommendations
- Conducting research across pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning
- Supporting advisers with complex client cases and planning strategies
- Ensuring technical work is completed accurately and to a high standard
- Working closely with compliance to ensure advice files remain audit-ready
- Managing workflows, deadlines, and workload allocation across the paraplanning team
- Helping improve internal processes, efficiencies, and client delivery standards
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and development within the technical team
- Maintaining high technical standards and keeping up to date with regulatory developments
Skills and experience required:
- CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential)
- Chartered status or working towards chartered advantageous
- Significant paraplanning experience within financial planning / wealth management
- Previous leadership, mentoring, or team management experience advantageous
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection, taxation, and FCA regulation
- Excellent report writing and technical communication skills
- Strong organisational and workload management skills
- Ability to lead by example within a collaborative team environment

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
