Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Football Coach to join our After School Club programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging football sessions that promote teamwork, skill development, and enjoyment among children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire young athletes while fostering a positive sporting environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate football coaching sessions aligned with the club’s objectives.
- Encourage fair play, sportsmanship, and team spirit among participants.
- Monitor and assess individual progress, providing constructive feedback to help children improve their skills.
- Ensure the safety of all participants during activities by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Organise fun drills, games, and competitions to keep children motivated and engaged.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly football (minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification), with the ability to adapt coaching methods for different age groups.
- Strong teaching skills with the capacity to motivate and inspire children of varying abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills to plan sessions and manage equipment efficiently.
- Good communication skills to liaise with children, parents, and colleagues professionally.
- Ability to foster a positive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and enjoyment of sport.
- A genuine passion for working with young people and promoting healthy physical activity through football.
- Driving Licence and car needed to get to the location.
- Must be available from 3.20-4.50pm one day a week.
Pay: £30.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Level One Football Coaching Qualification (required)
