We are seeking a skilled and experienced Car Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
The role requires strong experience in engine repairs, alongside general servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical work. This is a long-term position offering job security, a consistent workload, and additional earning potential through overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on cars and light vehicles
- Diagnose and repair engine faults, including:
- Timing belts and timing chains
- Head gaskets
- Engine rebuilds and replacements
- Engine management faults and oil leak repairs
- Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics
- Complete brake, suspension, clutch, gearbox, and exhaust repairs
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and carry out required repairs
- Complete job cards and workshop paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Car Mechanic / Vehicle Technician
- Strong engine repair experience (essential)
- Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- MOT Tester licence
- Experience using diagnostic equipment
