Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner during service hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to management
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils after each shift
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks within the kitchen as required
- Previous experience serving or interacting with customers is advantageous but not essential
