An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ceremonies Coordinator/Registration Officer to join The Registration Service at Hampshire County Council.
Hampshire Registration Service is an innovative and forward-thinking organisation, currently delivering in excess of 10,000 birth registrations, 10,750 death registrations, 11,900 notices of marriage / civil partnership (CP) and 6,000 ceremonies each year.
We are looking for Ceremony Coordinators/Registration Officers to join our team dealing with ceremony bookings. You’ll help customers book and pay, explain legal preliminaries, and advise on planning the content for each ceremony type. This will involve a high level of coordination, advice and entering details into a bespoke registration system. You will also provide ceremonies at weekends as part of a roster.
This is a busy, public facing role which offers great personal satisfaction supporting our customers to record and celebrate significant life events.
You will be committed to delivering a high quality, customer focused, frontline service on the telephone, email and in person, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is paramount in the day-to-day operation of your role. You will have the ability to work well as a member of a small team as well as have the ability to work using your own initiative.

- The ability to work flexibly, including participation in a weekend ceremonies rota and attending venues.
