We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at a friendly and busy School. This important role helps maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors each day.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is trustworthy, and has excellent timekeeping and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Emptying bins and replenishing supplies
- Following cleaning schedules and health & safety procedures
- Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns
Essential Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
- Good timekeeping and attendance record
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to provide a full 5-year work history and residency record
- Right to work in the UK
Safeguarding & Compliance:
- An Enhanced DBS check is desirable
- A May Harris DBS clearance will be required before starting work on site
- Employment is subject to satisfactory DBS clearance
- Start date will be confirmed once all checks have been completed
Pay: £12.95 per hour
