True Staging are excited to be expanding our team again. We are looking for an enthusiastic Class 1 Working Driver with regular experience of driving in London. This role will involve general Warehouse Operative tasks at our workshop in Billericay Essex when not driving.
We design and build events and exhibition sets for some of the top designers with site installations throughout London and Europe. The role will include workshop and loading duties as well as driving. Please see below key responsibilities:
- Assisting with collection and delivery of materials, as requested from the operations team
- Assisting with installs and de-rigs for events
- Loading and unloading the lorries
- Assisting the workshop team when required
- Prepping completed sets ready to load onto the lorries
- Driving class 2 rigid vehicles as required
Personal Profile
- Must have minimum of 2 years Class 1 driving experience
- Must have a Class 1 and Class 2 licence
- Must have around 8 + years on your driving licence and clean licence for insurance purposes
- Must be confident with driving in Central London
- Good Geographical knowledge of the UK would be advantage
- Excellent time keeping and reliable
- Well presented
- Have good communication skills when meeting with our clients
- A great team player - willing to help out colleagues in the Workshop when not driving
Hours
The desired candidate must be flexible around working hours. We generally work Monday – Friday 8am – 5.00pm with flexibility around evenings and weekends also required.
