Experienced Motor Vehicle Technician Required
Urban Car Company is a successful and growing independent used car dealership based in Bar Hill, Cambridge. We specialise in supplying high-quality vehicles and pride ourselves on delivering exceptional standards of vehicle preparation and customer service.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Motor Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team.

The Role
You will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Completing repairs on engines, suspension, steering, braking and transmission systems.
- Conducting vehicle inspections and health checks.
- Preparing retail vehicles to a high standard prior to sale.
- Identifying and reporting any additional work required.
- Maintaining accurate job records and workshop documentation.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Desirable
- Experience working within an independent garage or dealership environment.
- Experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicle qualifications but not essential.
