Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Waiting Server to join our restaurant Chop, above The Edith Cavell pub in Tombland. Chop is a brand new experience to Norwich, focusing on meat on the bone cuts of meat.
Chop is an intimate setting with a 26 cover restaurant as part of The Edith Cavell pub in Tombland. Chop is set on our 1st floor proving unrivalled views across Tombland.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience, from taking orders to delivering food and beverages with a friendly smile.
Hours per week: 15 to 20 hours.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables and service stations.
- Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of meals.
- Process payments accurately using the restaurant's point-of-sale system.
- Uphold the restaurant's policies regarding health, safety, and hygiene at all times.
- Pouring drinks and working within our Bar area will also be required.
Skills
- Excellent guest services skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Effective time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A solid foundation in hospitality principles, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Previous experience in a restaurant/bar setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of preparing drinks including spirits, draught lagers and ales.
