Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and interpret large datasets using advanced data analysis skills.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI to communicate key insights effectively.
- Perform business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Design and optimise database structures within Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and utilise SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Implement data solutions using programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell).
- Manage projects related to data integration, reporting automation, and system upgrades following the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create detailed documentation using Visio for process flows and system architecture.
- Support database design activities ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability.
- Assist in project management tasks including planning, scheduling, and tracking deliverables.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), SQL (including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server), and Visio.
- Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and project management principles.
- Experience with business analysis techniques and database design principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of data security standards and best practices in data governance.
- Relevant qualifications in Data Science, Business Analytics or related fields are preferred but not essential.
