Registered Manager - Children’s Residential Service
Salary: Up to £58,000

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential service delivering high-quality, outcome-focused care. This is a rewarding leadership opportunity for someone committed to transforming the lives of children and young people with complex needs.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the overall management of the children’s residential home, ensuring outstanding care, compliance, and leadership across the service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the Ofsted Registered Manager, holding full legal accountability for the service
- Ensuring children and young people receive care in line with their placement plans, risk assessments, and individual needs
- Leading, motivating, and developing the staff team, including recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and training
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Children Act (1989) and National Minimum Care Standards
- Overseeing high-quality care planning, recording, and reporting
- Building strong partnerships with families, social workers, education providers, and health professionals
- Managing budgets, resources, and the day-to-day running of the home
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and homely environment where young people can thrive
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is an experienced Registered Manager within children’s residential care
- Has strong leadership and people-management skills
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and care standards
- Communicates effectively with children, families, staff, and external professionals
- Is resilient, empathetic, and confident managing complex situations
- Is genuinely committed to improving outcomes for children and young people

Our client is a well-established specialist provider of children’s and family services across the UK. They support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs.
Their children’s residential services provide safe, nurturing homes for young people aged 12+, delivering individualised, therapeutic, and outcome-driven care where young people feel valued and supported.
