Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Support Officer to join our supportive school community.
The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping every student achieve their full potential. You will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and external agencies. A calm and resilient approach is essential, along with the ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs.
You will be highly organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload while maintaining accurate records and safeguarding standards. Experience of supporting students with additional needs, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, or barriers to learning would be advantageous.

The Unit is a provision for 100 pupils who all have an Education, Health and Care Plan for Cognition and Learning, Speech, Language and Communication, or Autism, and are working significantly below age-related expectations. Pupils are taught in small classes of 8–15 by specialist staff, allowing for highly personalised teaching and targeted support.
