Traditional Sash Window Repair Technician
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Traditional Sash Window Repair Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will specialise in the restoration, repair, and maintenance of traditional timber sash windows in residential and heritage properties.
Key Responsibilities
Repair, and refurbish traditional timber sash windows.
Carry out draught-proofing, glazing, sanding, painting, and finishing work.
Replace sash cords, pulleys, weights, locks, and damaged timber sections.
Restore period and heritage windows while preserving original character.
Diagnose operational issues such as sticking sashes, rot, rattling, or draughts.
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with health and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Provide professional customer service on-site.
Requirements
Proven experience working with traditional sash windows.
Strong carpentry and woodworking skills.
Knowledge of timber restoration and heritage property work.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of glazing and double-glazed sash units.
Painting and finishing experience.
